America as Wireless Third World

A quick thought. If the airport in Quito, Ecuador can have free wireless, why can’t airports in the U.S.?

They all should but some already do… Phoenix Sky Harbor does, and I think Chicago Midway does . But watch out for evil twins. Someone picked up my email password at one of the above.

The real problem is finding an outlet to use! I’ve vowed to start collecting el-cheapo power strips (you know the one’s Frys advertizes for $0.99) to take on trips. I figure it will get me onto an existing plug and I can sell it to others that want to share it with me. I lighten my load and fatten my wallet. Win-win.

Remember that nothing is “free”. Someone is paying for it. Are you willing to pay higher ticket prices when traveling to fund “free” wireless?

The same applies to all the welfare and subsidies in this country, someone is paying for it.

Would you support a tax increase so the government can subsidize free wireless for the airports?
